The Schenectady Art Society (SAS) was founded in 1967. Our purpose is to encourage local artists by offering educational programs and opportunities to exhibit and sell their work to the community.

SAS Sponsors at least two annual Member Shows in addition to meetings that feature demonstrations and critiques by well-known area artists. Our meeting site is the First Reformed Church of Scotia located at 224 N. Ballston Ave (Route 50) in Scotia. Meetings occur at 12:30 PM on the 2nd Thursday of the month, six times a year (Sept, Oct, Nov, Mar, Apr, and May).
