The Schenectady Art Society
(SAS) was founded in 1967. Our purpose is to encourage local
artists by offering educational programs and opportunities to
exhibit and sell their work to the community.
SAS Sponsors two annual Member
Shows in addition to meetings that feature demonstrations and
critiques by well-known area artists. Our meeting site is
the First Reformed Church of Schenectady located at 8 N. Church
Street (Union & North Street) in the Stockade. Meetings occur
at 7:00 PM on the 2nd Thursday
of the month approximately six times a year.
